Letter from the Founders: Seed Round Reflections and Thanks

Dear Friends,

When we founded Terminal 3, we were imagining what the internet could be if it were truly equitable. We envisioned a digital world where privacy is a right not a privilege, and where businesses can innovate without compromising trust. Our mission is to prove that data should be “accessed, not owned”, and with that, make the world more fair and secure. Today, with the announcement of our $8M seed round, we are taking the next major step towards that reality.

This milestone is not just about capital; it’s an affirmation that data security should be our base expectation and not a luxury, and that we all deserve a better future without the need to choose between convenience and safety. The seed funding empowers Terminal 3 to scale our technologies which allow individuals to secure their digital selves while enabling organizations to thrive in an increasingly competitive and complex world. Whether it's our user identity and credentials platform or our data privacy network for AI, Terminal 3’s enterprise solutions help solve the escalating crises of trust as the demand for private information grows in the digital world.

We are grateful for the support from Illuminate Financial, CMCC Titan Fund, Animoca Brands, Progression, IDG Blockchain, and others, all of whom share our belief that decentralized technologies and privacy-first solutions can reshape industries. Their participation in this round allows us to further invest in deep-tech research, including our development of zero-knowledge cryptography for enterprise applications and other quantum-resistant methods for universal data processing and access.

Terminal 3’s journey so far would not have been possible without our extraordinary team, who have built the user data oracle that now serves 8 million decentralized profiles, laying the foundation for a new era of self-sovereignty. As founders, we would be helpless without their dedication and effort, and they deserve all of the credit for our early and future wins.

As we look ahead, we are also deeply thankful for the community that has grown around Terminal 3. They have taken up our mission and made it a movement—a collective desire to redefine what Web3 can and should mean to the world. Thank you for being part of this honest adventure!

With gratitude,

Gary, Malcolm, and Joey
